HOW NOT TO REACT TO HUMAN SUFFERING

The above picture was taken by Kevin Carter in 1993 when he went to take shots of the suffering in southern Sudan, Carter claimed he chased away the vulture but didn't pick up or help the toddler and could not say what happened to her thereafter. He just went closer took this iconic shot, chased the vulture away and left the suffering toddler to her fate. He sold this particular picture to the New York Times, won a Pulitzer price for it and then KILLED HIMSELF three months after. Kevin Carter confided in his close friends regretting "I'm really really sorry I didn't pick the child up". He was haunted, lived a miserable life for months, he took his own life when his guilt overwhelmed him...  We live in a social media, where everyone is competing to post their lives on the internet for likes, comments and shares, but what are your responsibilities when human life and suffering is at stake?? What is your reaction when a lady is being sexually assaulted?? Do you pull out your phone to record it or make an attempt to help the suffering victim?? or an accident? Do you attempt to help or take pictures for social media? @SaleemMumo On Twitter
